My name is zira. I am 20 years old currently doing 6th semester,Diploma in Multimedia Production @ Malaysia Institute Integrative of Multimedia (MIIM formerly known as tv3 Academic). I don't know whether i should go with the interview or not since my SPM result is... (i regret this but..)

I have the same question on the application form which i do feel that even on that day itself they would have us fill in another application perhaps a registration form there and then. However I would give the HR department a call first thing in the morning.
About having a resume / CV prepared, is better than not having any to show when they ask for one. Please to visit www.malaysiaairlines.com in the career page for more information about it.
Hope to see all of you there and all the best to all of you too.

Dear friends,

looks like all of our friends here asking the same question regarding the application form. application form here refer to the cover letter (the formal letter to apply for a job) and then attached together with the resume. you will have to submit both document to the registration counter on the day of interview. then you will be given a application form by MAS (normal form we need to fill-up during interview). i will be at the interview too tomorrow..trying my luck also. hope to see u there too..all the best to all!

Malaysia Airlines,

I am an 18 year old Malaysian Student currently studying my last year of A-Levels in the UK and it is my dream job to work as a steward onboard Malaysia Airlines. However I would like to ask a few questions prior to the entry requirements stated on your website. I have passed all my GCSE/IGCSE exams for Mathematics, English, Economics, French, Chinese, Art and DT. I have been living abroad my entire life, and have acquired a good conversation level in Chinese and French however I do not know how to speak Bahasa Malaysia. Would this be a problem?

After completing my A-levels, I am going to apply for a biological science course in university which will take 3 years for me to complete. With this qualification could I still apply and become a cabin crew steward?

I hope to hear from you soon
Thank You

You can always take it as an experience like what I took it as even if I did not pass. It was a great experience. Good luck and all the best to you on your next try.

Hey Doshan,
Hey bro sorry to hear you didn't make it through too. anyways don't be sad about it. Take it as an experience. For me I actually feel that one wont know much till they've been through it all. Well thats my feeling. I wont mind failing another 3 times just to experience it first hand and of course to make sure i pass on the 4th time haha.

Dear Sir / Madam,

I was a Malaysia Airlines cabin crew previously and have been a cabin crew for Hajj Charter operating Hajj Flights for the last 7 years. I will be 44 this coming August. Is there a chance for me to come back for a 2 years contract as cabin crew? Thank you.

Nik Ahmad Huzlan Nik Hussain says:
Dear Shah,

Thank you for visiting our blog.

There are two types of employment contracts for Cabin Crew issued by the Charter Dept.

a) Charter Cabin Crew - a 1 year Contract, renewable in either June or January. Charter Crew are assigned all Charter and Haj flights.

b) Haj Crew - 4 month Contract only meant for Haj Flight assignment.

Ex MH crew with less than 2 years since last flight will be given priority.

All other ex MH crew are encouraged to apply.

Application forms available at Charter Dept at MAS Complex A, Ground Floor, Multi Storey Car Park, SAAS Airport. Two photos and appropriate certificates are required.

I hope the above clarifies.

Best regards.

Hi, this is fay here...
I am wearing braces now and will be take off soon in few more months. I wondering whether MAS do recruit FA with braces? But however, i would say that the braces aren't permanent, will that be a problem.

Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you.

Nik Ahmad Huzlan Nik Hussain says:
Dear Berry,

MasCharter gives priority in the following order:

a) All Ex-crew must be below 35 years of age at time of application for Non Supervisory positions.

b) Ex MAS Crew with less than two years away from flying duties. (Eligible for SEP Refresher).

c) Ex MAS Crew with no current aircraft rating. (Eligible for full conversion).

d) Ex Crew from other Airline.

Crew with low priority for selection are those who have left MasCharters for other Airlines before the completion of the one year contract for Charter crew, or the 4 month contract in the case of MasCharter Haj Crew.
