Our new check-in counter at London Heathrow Terminal 4
Following some five years of strategy and relocations discussions involving many intense negotiations to get the airport authority to understand the Terminal 3 airlines requirements for Terminal 4, we did on the 29th October 2009 finally relocate to our new home in Terminal 4 at London Heathrow Airport (LHR) .
Terminal 4 offers a far more spacious departure/check-in area than Terminal 3 with a new 25 metres extension to the inside of the building and a new forecourt outside. With glass front from floor to ceiling the building is always filled with natural light and the check-in experience is enjoyed by our passengers without the crowding and congestion they used to experience in Terminal 3.

Once checked in on the new check-in desks it is only a short walk of 40metres to the Departures entrance and once airside our passengers enjoy a newly refurbished airside international departure lounge with all newly refurbished shops and boutiques whilst awaiting to be called to the boarding gate again only metres away.

Minister of Tourism, Malaysia, Datuk Seri Ng Yen Yen graciously opened our new Golden Lounge in London Heathrow Terminal 4
We currently enjoy the exclusivity of a single gate room, Gate 6 which is only 20metres away from our new Golden Lounge which overlooks Stand 6 so our First, Club and ENRICH Platinum and Gold Members can watch over the aircraft activities as well as enjoy the spectacular aerial view the new lounge offers whilst relaxing and enjoying the ambience as well as the exciting food and refreshments the new lounge has to offer. Once called to board only a few minutes before departure it only takes two to five minutes to get from the Golden Lounge and on to the aircraft.
Gate 6 is all ready to accept our new fleet of aircraft, the Airbus A380 when we take delivery in 2011 offering 3 air bridges, two to main deck and one to the upper deck.

Staff packing and getting ready to move to Terminal 4
On arrivals passengers disembark the aircraft and only have to make a short walk of some 150-200metres to get from the aircraft through immigration to the baggage hall so most passengers are usually into the arrivals hall within 15-30minutes.
Terminal 4 offers all public transport services within a few metres walk with the railway stations being directly below the terminal and bus services directly outside arrivals.
After some 35years in Terminal 3 Malaysia Airlines now looks forward to giving our passengers as far superior and enjoyable travelling experience through Terminal 4, our new home for the future.

We hope many of you will be able to experience this newly renovated terminal.
